Chief Financial Officer to Planacy!

With over 200 customers, including Trustly, Rejlers, Billogram, Foodora, Fjällräven and Vitamin Well, we have demonstrated the value that our product can deliver. Now it's time to scale up!
To help us on this journey, we are now looking for a hands-on and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team in Stockholm.
About the role
As CFO, you will take broad responsibility for both operational finance and strategic financial leadership. You will work closely with the CEO and the board to support long-term value creation, business growth and international expansion.
You will lead financial reporting, control and forecasting – and act as a business partner across the company. The role includes working with the existing financial infrastructure while also actively contributing to our next phase: improved reporting, financial systems, scalable processes and potential M&A initiatives.
You will also be a part of the management team and a key contact for our new owner Monterro, participating in ongoing dialogue, planning and reporting. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to network with and learn from other CFOs in the Monterro Management Network.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to help shape a high-potential software company from within – balancing strategic impact with day-to-day execution.
Key responsibilities
- Own and lead the company’s financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, VAT/tax, monthly closing, annual accounts and legal reporting
- Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting and SaaS KPI development
- Build and maintain efficient reporting – including to the board and into Monterro’s BI systems
- Drive evaluation and potential implementation of new financial systems
- Support the CEO and leadership team with financial insights and analysis to support growth
- Contribute to pricing strategy and business model development
- Take part in future M&A processes, including financial due diligence and integration
- Manage the company’s legal structure and participate in the setup of future international entities
- Own financial supplier relationships (e.g. PE Accounting, auditors, payroll providers)
- Contribute to corporate governance and organizational development initiatives
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a structured, strategic and hands-on financial leader who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up environment. You are pragmatic, proactive and curious – and excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing company from within.
To succeed in this role, you likely have:
- Previous experience as CFO or Head of Business Control / FP&A, ideally in a SaaS or software company
- Solid understanding of subscription-based business models and key SaaS metrics
- Strong experience with financial planning, reporting, accounting and tax
- M&A experience – either from buy/sell-side or integration work
- Experience working with international entities and group-level finance
- Excellent command of Swedish and English, both written and verbal
- Experience with financial systems (ERP, BI) and a strong interest in financial tech
Bonus points for:
- Background from Big4 or Corporate Finance
- Experience from PE-backed companies and/or international expansion
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Sweden and the EU
- Experience with business-controlling responsibilities related to sales pipeline, pricing and ARR.
- Good IFRS knowledge

The role is based at our brand new office in central Stockholm but we offer a lot of freedom under responsibility – we love the atmosphere in our office but part-time remote work is possible.
